In today's world, being a Christian and an American sometimes feels like I get persecuted twice as much. It seems that our own government hates Americans. The government is poisoning our bodies by poisoning our foods, our water, and our air. You can also add the poisoning of our minds if you like to watch a lot of TV. (Why do you think they call it programming?) But, I'll get into these subjects at another time.
Just for being a Christian in today's society, I am doubly discriminated against. So many Christians whimper away when we're discriminated against. I've never been one to whimper. It's time for Christians to speak out. It's time for righteous indignation.
So why is it because I have values and morals I am looked down upon in today's society? The Bible explains why. Whether we like it or not, want to admit it or not, God is our Creator, and He wrote us a love letter. It's called the Bible. And it's meant to direct our lives. If we follow it's direction, we'll have a good life. But, if we don't, well . . it's kind of like driving. There's rules to follow as we drive. If we follow the rules, like stopping at stop lights, then we and the people around us will be safe. If we ignore the rules, we'll crash!
So where am I going with all this? I read of a couple who foster children. The story comes out of England. If you haven't noticed, in many, many instances the United States follows England in their policies. For instance, England has become a police state, now America is becoming a police state. And so it goes.
Apparently, this couple have been foster parents for awhile with an unblemished record of caring for almost 30 vulnerable children. Unfortunately for these children, this couple are also Christians. Because they have Christian values, the courts (who I call the god's of today's society) may decide that this couple can no longer foster children.
Why? What have they done so horrendously that they can no longer be trusted with the care of children? Basically, because they're Christians. The nerve! And because they're Christians, they have refused to sign a contract which implements the Labour's New Sexual Orientation Regulations. The couple claim, to sign this contract would force them to promote homosexuality, and it would go against their Christian beliefs.
Because the Christian couple won't sign the Sexual Orientation Regulations contract, a social worker questions whether a Christian couple would be "fit" to care for a potentially homosexual child. I say no way! These Christians aren't "fit". Why? Because they refuse to compromise.
What type of people could they possibly be? Geesh! Someone who refuses to compromise! They have their convictions, stand behind them, and refuse to budge. What type of role models would they make? Certainly not "fit". Only "fit" people would compromise their beliefs. I'm so grateful this social worker is on the ball in order to protect these foster children.
Ben Summerskill, of the lesbian, “gay”, and bisexual rights charity, Stonewall, told the newspaper the interests of a child should come before the “prejudices of a parent”. You're right of course, Mr. Summerskill. They can't be concerned with best interest of this child since they won't compromise their beliefs. Wow! How could this Christian couple be so awful! It's so good to know people like Benn Summerskill and the social worker are really looking out for the best interest of the children. After all, the children shouldn't be allowed to grow up in a home with principals. My gosh…what are they thinking?
The 11-year-old boy, who has been in their care for two years, will be placed in a council hostel this week and the the Christian couple will no longer be given children to look after. Oh, good! Thank God for that! We can't have people like these honorable, upright, virtuous individuals caring for these lost and vulnerable children. God forbid!
This young boy, who this Christian couple were taking care of, probably has had his world shaken already by being taken away from his birth family. Then to be put in a stable environment, with good morals being instilled in him, one that promotes principles and a sense of knowing the difference between right and wrong, has high standards, and teaches the love for God too! That would just be detrimental to the child. He just might catch a bad case of integrity. Oh my gosh!
This type of situation can't be tolerated. And it certainly would be detrimental to society. After all, if most of society believes we need to push and promote the homosexual lifestyle (along with abortion, living together without the sanctity of marriage, having children out of wedlock, and a whole host of immoral, bad behavior) then this child wouldn't fit into society. He wouldn't think the way rest of society thinks. Would he now? We can't have this.
What kind of world would we live in if the god's of today's society allow children to grow up in a stable environment, with good morals instilled in them, knowing the difference between right and wrong? How could we push the homosexual agenda on these children then?
So let's get him and the rest of the children back to the council hostel, where there's no sense of security, or love. But, that's ok. All their physical needs are met. He'll have a roof over his head and three squares a day. (Hmmmm…so does jail.)
According to an article in World Net Daily, it says . . . "officials told the couple that under the regulations they would be required to discuss same-sex relationships with children as young as 11 and tell them that gay partnerships were just as acceptable as heterosexual marriages. They could also be required to take teenagers to gay association meetings. When the Christian couple objected, they were told they would be taken off the register of foster parents.
Great Britain’s High Court, which is similar to a federal district court in the U.S., heard testimony earlier this month and is expected to take up to six weeks to hand down its decision.
I'm so glad the government and the courts have come together to be our daddy. If they hadn't, then this evil foster couple, and couples like them, may be allowed to continue caring for these poor, defenseless children.
Does anyone think like I do, that the scriptures below sound a whole lot like the days we live in?
2 Peter 2:14 says,
Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices, cursed children; which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam (Satan) the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness . . .
Hmmm . . . 2 Peter 2:14 mentions something about cursed children which have forsaken the right way. Interesting that this was written two thousand years ago about today. I wonder why it would say that children in these last days have forsaken the right way. It couldn't be because they aren't being taught the right way. Could it? Or if somebody dares to teach them the right way, they are taken away.
2 Timothy 3
This know, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good. Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.
Hmmm. . . this scripture mentions something about despisers of those that are good. Hmmm. . . sound familiar, Mr. Ben Summerskill, and Mr. (or Ms.) social worker?
Well, gratefully we'll have you to thank when the courts keep these children out of evil hands of the Christians.
2 Peter 3: 3 says,
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers (mockers), walking after their own lusts. . .
