CELEBRATE AMERICAN NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER, NOT MEXICAN
By Attorney Rees Lloyd

NewsWithViews.com
May 5, 2011, the first Thursday in May, was America’s annual "National Day of Prayer" by Act of Congress, 36 U.S.Code Sec. 119: “The President shall issue each year a proclamation designating the first Thursday in May as a National Day of Prayer on which the people of the United States may turn to God in prayer and meditation at churches, in groups, and as individuals.”
On April 29, 2011, President Barack Hussein Obama pursuant to that law issued a Proclamation stating: “NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim May 5, 2011, as a National Day of Prayer. I invite all citizens of our Nation, as their own faith or conscience directs them, to join me in giving thanks for the many blessings we enjoy, and I ask all people of faith to join me in asking God for guidance, mercy, and protection for our Nation.”
However, the National Day of Prayer was all but completely ignored on May 5 as the liberal, “progressive” politically correct politicians, media, and education bureaucrats and teachers, continued the farce of celebrating Cinco de Mayo as a grand day which Americans should celebrate a supposed glory day of Mexico -- although in fact even Mexico does not recognize “Cinco de Mayo” as a day of celebration.
On the National Day of Prayer, the liberal media, printed and broadcast not calls to prayer, but, rather, “Happy Cinco de Mayo” greetings to Americans. Governmental agencies carried out “Cinco de Mayo” celebrations by government employees in public taxpayer-supported facilities all over the country, including on what would be “work time” in the private employment sector, but not in the politically-correct public employment sector.
America’s government schools overflowed with celebrations of “Cinco de Mayo” led by overwhelmingly liberal education bureaucrats and teachers, while America’s “National Day of Prayer” was ignored in the progressive curricula.
Indeed, American school kids were not told by their overwhelmingly liberal, politically-correct teachers of the history of the American National Day of Prayer, going all the way back to George Washington in 1775. Instead, the kids were propagandized about Mexico's great victory (sic) over the French in the Battle of Pueblo. Alas, however, they weren’t educated to the fact that it was a singular, and shortlived "victory," as Napoleon III sent in the French troops and quickly trounced the Mexican army, won the war, and re-took Mexico.
As for Obama, while he went to Ground Zero to celebrate bringing Osama bin Laden to justice, he appeared to ignore his own proclamation for Americans to observe a National Day Of Prayer in his public remarks. If he referenced May 5 as the National Day of Prayer, it was not noticeable in the media reports. Obama did, however, publicly recognize the celebration of Cinco de Mayo. He even informed a nation craving leadership on the economy as the unemployment rolls crept up along with gasoline and food prices, that Michelle Obama, the regime’s Czarina on what-Americans-should-eat, “loves Mexican food.” He further informed that it is very dangerous to “get between Michelle and a tamale,” which the adoring liberal media duly reported for the edification of Americans on “Cinco de Mayo.”
May I respectfully suggest that it is rather pathetic, and demeaning, that the U.S. should decide that a day should be set aside as purportedly honoring a foreign country for its victory in a single battle while otherwise losing every battle and the war. Also, in my opinion, it is utterly demeaning for U.S. politically correct liberals, politicians, media, and teachers to "celebrate" a day to honor Mexicans which Mexico itself declines to celebrate. How would we Americans like it if Mexico decided to honor Americans in Mexico by celebrating a day that Americans do not deem worthy of celebrating regarding our own history or heritage?
Further, in my opinion, if “Cinco de Mayo” is intended to recognize and honor Americans of Mexican descent, then it is an insult to the hundreds of thousands of Americans of Mexican descent who have fought, and are fighting today, in defense of American freedom in war. The great contributions of those American veterans of Mexican descent should be recognized and celebrated, and taught to the children in our schools, and not a concocted politically-correct day to advance the multi-cultural agenda of liberal progressives by celebration of a battle which a foreign country, Mexico, won in a war that it quickly lost, and it would rather forget than celebrate.
“Cinco de Mayo” has given something from the culture of Mexico to America: It has given to America what Time magazine called the "Seventh Drunkest Day of the Year." If “Cinco de Mayo” is going to be observed at all, it ought to be recognized with a moment of silence for all the Americans killed or injured on American roads by Mexican nationals driving under the influence. Mexican nationals are manifestly disproportionately overrepresented among those guilty of driving drunk, maiming and killing Americans. Driving drunk is in fact a tradition in Mexico, as anyone who has driven or read a newspaper there – or here --knows. Drunk driving by Mexican nationals is but another way American lives are being enriched by multi-culturalism, diversity, and illegal aliens importing the failed, corrupt Mexican culture into America.
Meanwhile, as expressions of "Happy Cinco de Mayo Day" ring out from liberal media and politicians seeking votes on the National Day of Prayer, American atheists continue their legal assault on the American tradition of a National Day of Prayer on the first Thursday in May. The atheists of the Freedom From Religion Foundation (isn't that what Lenin, Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot were about?) have appealed to the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeal in Chicago for a rehearing en banc, after that circuit recently held that atheists do not have legal "standing" to sue against the American tradition of a National Day of Prayer.
The Alliance Defense Fund has won an important victory in the Day of Prayer case (Freedom From Religion Foundation vs. Dobson, et al., 7th Circuit), especially on the issue of legal "standing," which ordinarily requires a litigant to have a legally cognizable injury in order to sue. The Seventh Circuit ruled that a feeling of "alienation," i.e., hurt feelings, taking offense at acts or symbols reflecting America's own religious history or heritage, is not a cognizable injury conferring "standing" to sue.
However, that important victory by the Alliance Defense Fund, and the American tradition of a National Day of Prayer, are all but ignored by the contemporary liberal media, government, and schools, as they celebrate Cinco de Mayo.
Thanks to the ultra-liberal, progressive ACLU, kids in American schools can't utter a prayer on the National Day of Prayer. But they can be propagandized on Cinco de Mayo about the glories of Mexico, an utterly corrupt, failed state, ruled by a wealthy oligarchy who will remain in corrupt power as long as they can export millions of their own people into the U.S. rather than have them remain in Mexico and demand necessary reforms.
As American schools have American children dancing about in Mexican costumes to Mexican music on “Cinco de Mayo,” it should be noted in regard to cultural enrichment that the most popular form of contemporary Mexican music is the “corrido” celebrating narco gangsters as heroes and Mexican cultural icons. More than 36,000 Mexicans have been slaughtered in the ongoing narco wars of those Mexican cultural heroes who are being honored by “Narco Bands” in “Narco Music,” i.e., more deaths than America suffered in the Korean War.
Today, in Southern Arizona, there are signs posted warning Americans not to travel in our own country due to the dangers presented by the invasion of illegal aliens through our porous borders, including narco trafficers. Never in our history before the Obama regime have we Americans been told we cannot safely travel in our own country due to the threat presented by foreign nationals illegally traversing our borders with impunity. Mexico and Mexican nationals, combined with the politically-correct do-nothing Obama Regime, have not only created these “No Go Zones” in Southern Arizona, they have made Phoenix, AZ, the “Kidnapping Capital of the World.” Worse then the Middle East, worse than Somalia, worse even than Mexico itself, and that is saying something.
Meanwhile, President Barack Hussein Obama, former attorney for ACORN and self-declared political “progressive” who has stated that the “Rules For Radicals” of the self-declared socialist “revolutionist” Sol Alinsky are “burned into my [Obama’s] brain,” and Attorney General Eric Holder, self-declared liberal progressive and former attorney for the Al Queda-linked attempted “dirty bomber” Jose Padillo, are acting to protect Americans from foreign invaders from Mexico by suing Arizona for trying to do what Obama and Holder have failed to do -- their duty to protect Americans, their first and foremost duty under the Constitution.
Notwithstanding these Mexican outrages and the failures of the Obama regime to cure and correct them, Americans are urged by politicians from the White House on down, and by liberal media, to celebrate "Cinco de Mayo. " Our children are lied to in schools by politically correct liberal teachers and administrators that it is a significant day in Mexican history and culture, a myth which even the Mexicans decline to accept. Indeed, the very rich ruling class Mexican oligarchy is no doubt laughing-all-the-way-to-the-bank at American gullibility as we celebrate "Cinco de Mayo" and they celebrate counting the $17-billion sent back to Mexico annually from the U.S. economy by Mexico's greatest export -- its own people, whom the corrupt Mexican oligarchy and government encourage to illegally invade America.
On the first Thursday in May, as General Washington first said as Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army in 1775, and the U.S. Congress codified in 1952 (36 U.S.C. Section 119), Americans should celebrate America’s National Day of Prayer, not a concocted cultural myth concerning a foreign, failed state.
As for Cinco de Mayo, Americans should not celebrate a day which even Mexico does not, but, instead, address two words to the corrupt, wealthy, ruling class Mexican oligarchy and government, as well as to the Mexican nationals they send here illegally, including murderous Mexican drug trafficers and kidnappers further corrupting our country: Ya Basta! (Enough!)

About Ryan's Rants
America is at such a crucial time in history. And it's not just a crucial time in history for America, but for the WHOLE WORLD! No other time in history has been like it is now. I cover a lot of topics and issues on my blog, because, frankly America, we go through a lot of issues. We have a lot to contend with these days. From crooked politicians, Agenda 21, UFO's and aliens, transhumanism, the duplicitous global warming spoof, weather weapons, false flag attempts, evil conspiracies, satanic cults, the Depopulation Program of humanity by the elite, mainstream media lies, mind control, chemtrails, earthquakes, birds and fish die-offs, we have a criminal in the White House and a few more in Washington, D.C., and this fact seems to go unnoticed by most, especially our main stream media.
There is so much evil going on on this planet at this time, that I wanted to do something to combat it. Even if it was a small thing. Something that makes me feel like I'm contributing to the good. So, I have created this blog to help inform people of the things going on in our world today. Things that radically affect our lives, whether you know it or not. Our government affects our lives the most. From deceptive practices that you need to be aware of, to poisons in our food and water supply.
